Heather Puza was born in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She started her career in the Veterinary field after moving to Tennessee in 2005. She moved back to Florida in 2010 with a passion for what she does so she has continued to work in the field ever since. Heather graduated with her Bachelor degree in Business Administration in December 2016. Heather takes every opportunity she can to enjoy living life to the fullest with her family and friends. Heather is currently the mom of 1 dogs and 2 cats. We have been thrilled to have Heather as a part of our team since March of 2016.
Brooke Bouza was born in Connecticut, moved to Florida when she was 8 years old. While growing up in Boca Raton, Brooke enjoyed playing soccer, making pottery, biking and wake boarding. Brooke graduated from the University of Florida (GO Gators!) in 2002. After graduation, Brooke decided to expand her animal care and husbandry experience. She worked as a zoo keeper and veterinary technician for the Palm Beach Zoo.
Once she realized her home was in beautiful Vero Beach, she took a position in the fall of 2011 at Vero Beach Veterinary Hospital. Brooke is able to incorporate her exotic training here at Vero Beach Veterinary Hospital, since we see birds, reptiles and pocket pets. She continues to peruse her passion of caring for animals everyday and with recently getting married, she feels blessed to have found her happy place.
Lisa was born and raised in sunny Vero Beach, FL! She has grown up riding and showing horses all over the country starting at the young age of 6. She is also a MMA fighter (Mixed Martial Arts)! Animals have always been a huge part of her life & her passion, she has been a veterinary technician since 2013 & is currently pursuing her dream of becoming a large animal veterinarian by furthering her education, and she is also pursuing her dreams of becoming a Professional MMA fighter. In her free time she loves spending time with her daughter, going to the gym to train MMA and hanging out with her friends.
Upon graduating from UCF in Orlando with a B.S. in Business, Jill began working at East Orlando Animal Hospital where she took her own pets. It was there her passion for animal health began. She pursued another degree at SPJC and received her CVT degree. Jill began working with Dr. Kattis Stengard in 2006 doing house calls and has been with Vero Beach Veterinary Hospital ever since.
Rachel is a Certified Veterinary Assistant and has been a Veterinary Technician since 2013. She thoroughly enjoys working with all types of animals and loves helping the pet owners understand the importance of preventative care.In her spare time, Rachel goes to college part time and is a full time mother of two. She is an avid “Cross-fitter” and loves to compete. She also has 4 animals of her own; 3 cats, 1 dog and 1 ferret.
Tiffany Besancon has been a technician for 20 years. She really loves taking care of 4-legged family members. Her main interests are surgery and radiology. She enjoys finding the root of their problems and seeing them recover well. On a personal note, she has 2 sons and 2 year old German Short Hair named Cedar who enjoys the outdoors as much as the whole family does. They enjoy camping, four-wheeling, and air-boating.
